AmeriCorps Member – Enrollment Specialist
1 Full-Time position
Primary Function: The AmerCorps member - Enrollment Specialist will be working for Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Community Based Mentoring Program. This position is responsible for coordinating, planning, supervising and in some cases providing the Customer Relations and Enrollment function of the agency to ensure a customer friendly, efficient process, maximizing the number of new volunteers and children enrolled, while incorporating quality assurance standards.

- Living Allowance: $461.54 paid bi-weekly while providing service. Living allowance is taxed.
- Total Living allowance will not exceed $12,000.00.
- Education Award Amount: $4,725 (Electronic voucher will be issued to Member by National Service Trust upon successful completion of Member’s term-of-service).
- Health Insurance
- Childcare: Available for full-time members with proof of eligibility.
- Qualified Student Loan Forbearance and Payment of Accrued Interest during term-of service.
- Vacation Policy: Members are entitled to a minimum of two weeks of vacation
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in the social sciences) is required (copy of diploma must be on file upon hire).
- One year social service experience is preferred (Master’s Degree can supplement for experience).
- Reliable transportation.

Ameri Corps Member – Match Support Specialist
1 Full-Time position
Primary Function: The Ameri Corps Member - Match Support Specialist is primarily responsible for the support and supervision of match relationships in compliance with agency and national standards.
Specific Responsibilities (in accordance with agency and national standards):
- Providing support and supervision to assigned caseload of Big/Little matches (maximum caseload size is established by agency). Supervision through telephone contact; the Big and Little are required to meet in-person, parent/guardian are encouraged to with the Match Support Specialist once each year.
- Formal annual review of match with each participant, to include completion of outcome evaluations.
- Collaborating with the Big and parent/teacher/counselor to establish annual case plans based upon building developmental assets in the Little's life (Little can be included in plan as appropriate) for outcome evaluations.
- Providing on-going support to a caseload including, but not limited to: crisis intervention and counseling; advocacy; information and referrals to volunteers and clients to access appropriate resources; and problem resolution.
- Completion of any monthly caseload statistics.
- Maintaining flexible hours, to include evenings and Saturdays, available for matches to contact directly.
- Mandatory attendance at agency staff meetings.
- Attendance at majority of agency match activities.
- Overflow enrollment service to volunteer and client candidates, as required and depending upon caseload size.
- Provide training for Bigs,& orientation for parents/children.
- When assigned, participate in volunteer recruitment activities.
