Important Breakthrough Study on Adults Mentored as Children with Big Brothers Big Sisters

A new landmark study finds that adults mentored as children through
Big Brothers Big Sisters are more likely than peers with similar backgrounds but who were not involved in the program to have a four-year college degree, household incomes of $75,000 or greater and strong relationships with their spouses, children and friends. Conducted by Harris InteractiveŽ on behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters, this is the first large-scale examination of the long-term benefits of our program. The survey participants grew up with challenging life situations, but Big Brothers Big Sisters allowed them to overcome obstacles and set higher goals.
