In the News

At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada, we depend on our donation bins to provide revenue for our programs matching children in need with positive adult mentors. Most often, people donate the clothing and small household items we take for collection. You can read more here about what we take, where our donation bins are and even how to get your donations picked up!

The bins are designed to accept the small items we can use, but sometimes people leave large items outside the bin, leave items outside the bin when it's full, or even leave their trash. This constitutes illegal dumping, and it costs us a huge amount of money -- money we have to divert from helping kids -- to clean up and often repair the bins. We also rely on the businesses who allow us to have our bins in their parking lots, and have lost partners because of the mess dumpers leave.

If you have any questions about what donations we take, or how you can have your donation picked up, you can find more details here, or contact us: dc@bbbsnn.org or 826.2122
