Asset: Interpersonal Competence

October is Bullying Prevention Month. Has your Little ever talked about being bullied? Have you seen them exhibit bully behavior? How can you talk to your Little about bullying?

Here are some questions you can ask your Little to start a conversation about bullying.
  • What does it means to be bullied? What is a bully?
  • Have you ever felt bullied yourself or witnessed others being bullied?
  • How did you feel? What would you do next time?
    *Use resources below to find scenarios you can role play with your Little.
  • Who would you talk to if you have problems with kids at school?
  • Is there a way to report if you witness bullying? If you don't know, whom would you ask?
