Know someone who might make a great Big?
As you know, being a "Big" is a whole lot of fun--and it's easy! With only a few hours per month you make a "Big" difference in a child's life through simple friendship, and you get to see the world through the eyes of a child again!
Here in Northern Nevada, there are many children waiting to be matched with a Big Brother or Big Sister. Do you know someone who would make a great Big? Word-of-mouth referrals are the #1 reason others decide to volunteer.
-All summer long, if you refer a friend to the program, and they are matched with a Little, YOU get a pair of tickets to any Aces Baseball game.
-Referral must list you as referral source when contacting the agency.
-No limit to how many people you can recruit (or tickets you can get!)

Here are simple suggestions for recruiting more great Bigs:
- Spread the word. Send an e-mail to your friends, family, and co-workers about how fun and easy it is to be a Big; include a link to www.bbbsnn.org.
- Invite a Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada recruiter to host a brown bag lunch or attend a staff meeting at your office. Email Outreach & Marketing Coordinator, Kyle Smith, at ksmith@bbbsnn.org to schedule an info session.
- Write about your experiences in your employee newsletter. Ask readers to apply online or call Outreach & Marketing Coordinator Kyle Smith at 775-352-3202 x 103 to get started today.
- Ask our recruiter to come speak to your church, synagogue, faith community, organization, club, or association.
- Carry a photo of your Little in your wallet. Tell your story in the grocery line, at the water cooler, or anywhere else people will listen. Ask them to visit www.bbbsnn.org to learn more.
