Here are some questions you can ask your Little to gauge their engagement and identify areas where they might need help.
Bigs
What is your favorite subject?
Do you have supplies needed for each class?
Which school clubs or activities are you interested or involved in?
Show your support by attending game or concert at school.
When and where do you do your homework?
Suggest designating a space, e.g. a desk or kitchen table where all supplies are handy.
What do you do with your finished homework?
Suggest putting it directly into backpack so don’t forget.
Parents
Does your child have a designated space to do their homework? If not, make a space that’s just for homework so your child can work uninterrupted.
Encourage and support your child’s involvement in school activities by attending games or events.
